poole/bournemouth?

I thinking of applying for a job in Poole, near Bournemouht.

Anyone live/lived there? Whats it like? Is it one of those seaside towns where old people go to die, or is it a bit more lively/interesting?

I'm a 25 yr old northern lad, and it'll be quite a way from family/freinds, and I havn't been to dorset since i was a nipper.

Thanks.

Never been myself but a couple of the lads i work with are from Bournemouth and they say its an awesome place. Lively with the students and really nice to be right by the sea.

    Used to work in both.
Bournmouths alright, good shopping, decent nightlife, excellent in the summer. Not much to write home about with Poole though.

They sort of merge into the same urban area anyway.

Ive been to Bournemouth and thought it was really nice. It was summer which help as the beach looked great.

There are some shit cities on the south coast but Bournemouth isn't one of them. Dont know much about Poole though.
