I think you risk bacteria getting into the food which can lead to a dicky tum!

I have to admit, it depends what it is. I have re-frozen (is that even a word) things like bread before and a couple of times chips and stuff, but I would never chance anything like chicken or beef or anything that I had already cooked like left over spaghetti bolognaise or anything like that.

well the ready meals contain meat.

No the meats are a no-no, so you'll have to eat them all just now.

How long was the power off for though? A decent freezer should retain coldlevels for a good few hours (potentially a day or so if closed) before letting stuff defrost. If it started to defrost after being off for just a couple of hours there's probably something wrong with your freezer.

I probaly wouldn't chance them, no. Sorry.

I'd probably try the vegetables though. I know you technically shouldn't refreeze the food, but no harm has ever come of me. Well, very little harm :D

Aye, I'd keep veg and owt like bread (and I have eaten re-frozen ice cream, which you probs shouldn't, but I was fine). But chuck or cook any meat.

Theres only a few bags of veg. Most of the things were low cal ready meals :( I bought it all last week with what money I had.

Urgh. I hate being so poor. I will get a few evening meals a week though I guess when I go my boyfriends.

i would keep them in the fridge for maybe a couple of days and anything not eaten after that, chuck out. You cant refreeze defrosted ready meals. Its not safe.

The vegetables, you could make soup with or use as ingredients in something else and then freeze that and it would be fine

Cook and then just constantly eat everything in one go until it's all gone then you'll probably just be fine to go without anything else until the end of the month ;)

    Or

Watch living without money that was on itv last night

    Or

Overdraft at the bank/extend overdraft? Borrow a bit from friends/family?

all my overdrafts and credit cards are maxed out.

im too stubborn to ask for help off friends or family.

i dont mind going hungry in the evenings anyway.
