Depression and self-harm

**helen****helen** Deactivated Posts: 9,235 Supreme Poster
Hi all

Just wanted to let you know that we've decided to 'un-stick' this depression and self-harming thread. This is because, in hindsight, we've realised that by making it a sticky we may have led people to feel that they can only post about issues relating to depression and self-harm in that specific thread.

While the thread can keep going, and is one that serves as a good place to vent, let off steam, or generally just chat about very immediate issues, we want to encourage people to post their own individual threads about mental health issues to get the maximum amount of support. We?ve noticed that some people?s posts looking for specific advice have gone un-noticed among the hundreds of replies and feel that people will get better support with individual threads at times.

I hope that makes sense, but feel free to post your comments and queries. :)

Also, we've changed the name of the forum slightly to Health & Wellbeing - fitness is part of wellbeing so made sense to broaden rather than restrict with the title.

Cheers.
