Hi there,

I'm on the mini pill, so i take it every day and i haven't had a period coming up for a year until now. How come i've gone nearly a year without one and now it's suddenly happened?

Any ideas? :confused:

    A very common side effect of the mini pill is that your periods stop altogether and become irregular (due to the effects of the horomone on your body) its nothing to worry about, unless its goes on for longerthen a week, you lose a lot of blood or have any bad side effects woth it (headaches, cramps, nauasea you havent had in the past on your periods) as it could shoe that your have a problem with the pill.

    I've had an implant (same hormones as the mini pill) for over a year now and have only had two very light periods on it, and the last one was about eight months ago)
