I had my dog out earlier and another dog attacked her so they were fighting for about 5 minutes. She has a cut on her ear do I need to put anything on it or take her to vet?

I'm told if it is just a nick you can probably get away with cleaning and putting antibiotic ointment and wrapping the ear and if she has long ears, wrap the ear to her head so she doesn't try to bite and pick at it. And re-do this every day to keep it clean. But if it cut thru the "leather" (I think the skin, he ment?) and if it is large then it might be best to take her to the vet as she might need stitches.
