Help with cost of mandible splint

I snore like a trumpet and apparently I also suffer from sleep apnea. I'm seeing the ENT specialist next week after recently undergoing a sleep study. He's already told me I cannot have a mandible splint (it's like a gumshield but it holds the lower jaw forward thereby creating more space in your throat's airways) on the NHS - apparently for some reason they are not available that way.

But seeing as I do need one does anyone know if there's a way of claiming some of the cost back as they can be around the £120 mark?

I'll find out for sure when I have my appointment next week but was hoping I could find out for sure from anyone here before then.
