probably a long shot but does anyone understand shannons index something to do with diversity and equitability.
my bf is a 3rd year marine biology student and is having to study this but he does not understand it and i can't find simple info on the net.
The bit he is struggling with is how you work out the numbers in the columns.
If anyone could help it would be great
