Pregnant???

Hey,

One of my mates has just started sleeping with her boyfriend. The other night they got carried away and he entered her without a condom. She couldnt use the mornin afta pill because it was bank holiday. He didnt come inside her but he had come before hand wen she tossed him off and t here wasnt a long gap inbetween that and entering her, s how long does sperm live for? and how long afta intercourse can a pregnancy test determine whether she is pregnant? also am i right in sayin it has to be 48 hours for the mornin afta pill to work?

She is getting stomach cramps but i think that cud just be her mind worrying, what is the chance shes pregnant??

    :( I would imagen theres a fair chance of your friend being pregnant. when he ejaculated there could have been a very, small amount of cum still inside his penis,being kept warm at body temperture.when a boy cums,they say theres millions of sperm trying to fertilise the egg on intercourse,and that means there would be a few hundred still waiting in his willie..I cant answer your question on the morning after pill.I just hope she goes on all right.:)

    get to a clinic ASAP
    but it makes you feel very sick. and you musted be sick within the first 3 hours of taking it or it dont work.

    well ur friend cud still be pregnant. sperm as long as its inside the body can live quite a long time. even though he came b4 he entered her that doesnt mean that he came completely. the morning after pill can be taken up to 72hours after sex so get to a clinic FAST!!!!!!!
    a pregnancy test wont be able to tell u if shes pregnant until shes at least 3weeks gone so the only thing u can do if u r outside the 72hours 4 the morning after pill, is wait. reassure ur friend and comfort her until u can get a test. ur local Family Planning Clininc can give u a free test and they're 99.99% accuate.
    most of all...u shouldnt worry, b/c after all she may not be pregnant.

    If you have unprotected sex, there is a chance of pregnancy even if the man doesn't cum.

    Even if it's a bank holiday, there will always be somewhere that you can get a post-coital pill ('morning after' pill). Try one of our helplines.

    The main thing is try not to worry too much. Juyst keep thiking on the chance that she isn't pregnant. If she keeps worrying about it it is likely to make her period late anyway. So first thing don't worry. Secondly just be there for her. Good luck and let us know how things go.

    Also if sex is going to be a regular thing, talk to your friend about possibly taking the contraceptive pill, in order to stop her worrying in the future :)

    hiya the m.a.p works up to 72hrs after having sex and u could have got the m.a.p from boots at the trafford centre as they were open over the bank holidayand the doctors are. sperm can last up to 5 days but only a few hrs in the open air. your 'friend is best to get a pregnncy test but wait for her period first' you may be luck this time? but make sureifshe is going to have sex USE A CONDOM OR GO ON THEPILL! there are enough s*itty kids around the world.

    mmmmmm Don't worry it will go away?

    I think she should

    take a pregnancy test
    Have an aids test
    Have a little more self respect and control


    Casualty departments don't close over the bank holiday do they?!!!!

    She needs to grow up a bit before she puts herself at risk!

    Worrying won't solve the problem

    Look, if you have regular unprotected sex for a whole year there is an 80% chance that you will get pregnant. So if you did it once a week, there would be a 1%-2% chance each time.

    If you only let a single drop of cum enter your body, then the chance is even smaller. So yes there's a chance but the odds are on your side.

    Yes take the morning after pill. Better safe than sorry.

    But also yes don't worry. Worrying won't help anyway. Only action will help.

    A HIV test won't be effective for months. Wait a while before taking one.
