What? it doesnt make sense? it makes a hell of a lot more sense then your soccer with your offside... blah blah blah...
have you TRIED to watch a game? pure skill, class and above all else, PASSION. sure people get hurt playin hurling but no more then other sports. its not just 30 muckers on a pitch pulling and swinging recklessly, most of them have been playing since they were 4 or 5 and have mastered it. the likes of DJ Carey, Brian Whelehan, Tommy Dunne, Christy Ring, Mick Mackey would NEVER be seen playing soccer. this summer watch Tipp V clare and i promise you'll be impressed.

i really dont understand how some people can watch 22 millionaires run around a patch of grass for a full hour and a half, and IF your lucky might get 1 score. thats not sport.

anyone ELSE interested in our games?null

I'm with yeh there fanatic, i've been playing football and hurling since i can remember. totally outclass soccer. for gods sake England people, What the hell is cricket all about? or polo? too very boring sports. Why do yeh think roy keane is the captain of the best football team in england and europe even, the best footballer in england some say, denis irwin, the most decorated man at manchester united, Niall quinn legendary status at sunderland, the goalkeeper of the premiership eleven, shay given... the list carries on. the fact is that they all come from GAA backgrounds, the will to win, the passion behind the play. it all comes from GAA. so for youse to say that the games are a load of rubbish, yis are either ignorant or can't accept the fact that the world doesn't revolve around England.

Hurling is quite fun to watch - even if you haven't the foggiest what's actually going on.

The scarcity of goals is oner opf the things that makes footy so good - with ice hockey, basketball etc there are so many scores that excitement is taken away from it. With football you are usually glued (unless it's a crap game) because a goal could happen at any time, or it may not.

sorry to burst your bubble there zero, but thier ALL crap games. a full hour and a half with 1 score is NOT excitement nad if it is to you then you need to get out more. excitement is not being able to look away for a second so that you wont miss a thing. excitement is knowing that even though you may be a couple of points up, that could all change within a couple of minutes... that the game isnt up till the ref blows (or with jimmy cooney its still not over!)
thats what football and hurling is all about. anyone actually interested or just here to knock our games?

Well i love gaelic and hurling, i think they are really exciting matches to watch and there is a lot of passion involved. Also camogie is an excellent sport (i used to play but gave it up) which i noticed you didn't mention! very sexist .... lol
