I went camping this weekend and introduced 3 German girls to Twiglets - one hated them but the other two both wanted to know where they could buy more .. :D

I introduced my best friend to the catcher in the rye (both of us being ansty adolescents and all that), and another friend to Au Revoir Simone.

I had to Google both of those to know what you were talking about .. always a good idea to explain obscure stuff more fully in your posts

    Battered sausage and chip butties.

They loved the battered sausage, being German, but didn't understand why anyone would have carbohydrate in a sandwich.

Red Bush (rooibos) tea to friends at work. Its one of the best, healthy teas for you out there and very refreshing.

    Bushy ;)

Nah, its lovely. I can't drink ordinary tea now, it tastes too bitter for me. Redbush is sweeter naturally and its much more refreshing.

I've managed to change musical tastes for quite a few people in the last few years. Recently, I met someone who listened to the most depressing emo rock music. I introduced them to dance music, and now they won't listen to anything else. Now all I need to do is convert all those people who listen to happy bloody hardcore, and the world will be a better place. :p

Depressing emo is much better then the "music" you listen to. You can get a lot of happy, uplifting rock music.

I just bought some of this today after reading your post - not bad - was expecting it to taste a lot worse but it's quite smooth taste.
