is this conjunctivitis?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Yesterday my right eyelid in the outer corner became quite sore. It felt almost bruised when I touched it. Today it still has the sore feeling but not when I touch it, when I blink. The feeling isn't causing me pain or anything, just a bit annoying. I pulled my eyelid back and my eyeball seems to be a little bit red in the corner. Also when I look in the mirror the eyelid seems to be drooping slightly. I looked up eye conditions on NHS and I have the red eye..slightly in the corner like I said and also the slight soreness and also I think the slight swelling of the eyelid. But I don't have watery eyes or the sticky stuff on my lashes. Ahhh. I was a bit concerned because this is my good eye. My sight is really poor in my left one and this is supposed to be the healthy one. Doh.

Anyway I think I will leave it be and just see if it gets any worse and then go to the doctor if it does. Is this ok or should I be putting eye drops on it?

I've had conjunctivitis a few times and it doesn't sound like it to me

Anything to do with eyes I'd get checked out, just go to the Dr's and let them have a look.

Yup! It's a good ol' stye! It should go away in a few days if left alone. Just gotta persevere in the meantime. :(

I've had a few that have come up like little white heads or just like a little red spot. Not massive ones! Try not to squeeze the white ones or as my sister does pop them with a pin :yuck: :eek2:
