Moving to Widescreen format for photography

So it pretty much looks like the 16:9 Widescreen format is here to stay.
Both my laptops are widescreen - and our one LCD TV is also widescreen and although I have a square CRT - it is playing up and when I replace it - it will most likely be with a widescreen LCD monitor.
But has anyone made the move to Wide Screen photography?
I have two digital cameras but only one of them has the option to take all photos in a 16:9 aspect ratio - seeing as I tend to only view my photos on my computer or put them on a DVD I'm thinking it's time to make sure all photos I take in the future are in 16:9 format where possible to make transferring them to DVD as hassle free as possible.
Anyone else thought about how best to get all their media matching up?
