    Hm, I know I have a nottinghamshire/derbyshire accent - but it's not as strong as alot of people round here! I haven't lived anywhere else yet though. But when I've been to other places i tend to speak better so people will understand me better.

    By no accent people generally mean you have a fairly neutral/generic accent.

    i have a neutral accent but that could be due to the fact i've lived in scotland, manchester, liverpool, gloucester, birmingham, essex, kent and london.....anyhoo i'm glad i don't have a regional accent especially not a northern one :p

    I really want to keep my proper North East Scotland accent like, I lose it a bit whenever I'm not at home (even though I still get called an inbred teuchter or a hillbilly :mad:)

    But times like now when I'm back at home and my dialect comes flooding back :thumb:
