Highs and Lows of 2007

Surprised naebodys done this yet, seeing as we're into the last day of the year then I might aswell.

My first nephew being born about an hour before Scotland beat France in Paris was the best bit for me. Me Daddy getting better too aswell really.

And I suppose getting made redundant shoud be quite shit, but if getting a £2,700 pay off for doing 6 months work is the worst thing to happen to you then it's been an alright year :thumb:

I'll think of more later, maybe :chin:

Making the deans list at school two semesters in a row now! Last time around at school I wrote little plea's at the end of my final exams just so I could pass, so quite an improvement.

Nothing really low. It's been alright :thumb:

Highs - becoming a mother, continuing to have a better relationship then I could ever have imagined, living in Sweden, Christmas in Austria with the whole family, making lots of really interesting and positive new friends.

Lows - Silvia's health problems (though thankfully they're hugely improved when compared with summer), having to move back to the UK so abruptly, one of my best friends and his girlfriend dying in a car accident, feeling utterly wiped out and pretty damn blue in October and November.

Not really sure what to write, I'll make an attempt...

    Highs:
My twin half-siblings love me
Generally feeling better in the beginning of the year
Being told by a professor that I "got the idea" and being one of the only 3 people who did it
Finally getting over something that happened in 2003 (or at least I think I did)

    Lows:
Going back to my old bad feelings in the latter part of the year :(
Not managing to go anywhere for a holiday last summer
The swelling on my foot which contributed to the above
Things I don't want to change changing, while things that for the last 8-9 years I've wanted to change still haven't.
Things happening to others that made me worry a lot

That's pretty much all there is to it, without getting in too much detail...

    - visiting my best friend who I hadn't seen for too long.
    - getting my first car.
    - watching Man City finally get a half-decent team together.

    Lows
    - still being in the same shitty town and job, despite having a very open policy on the places I'm willing to go other than here.
    - having to spend Christmas in said shitty job, which is why I wanted to end 2007 in a new one.
    - being generally unsociable in order to save money to move abroad.

Overall a generally really boring but necessary year, if 2008 is gonna be as good as I want it to be.

    Highs:
    - I managed to get myself a job working in an arcade and rather enjoyed it!
    - Finally managed to get started with university, but there was a nasty sting in the tail...
    - Made some of my own mixes (at last!) and posted them online, had very positive feedback too. A Brighton-based producer liked one of my mixes so much, he said it would be an "honour" if I included his track on a future one. And that's precisely what I've done, but he doesn't know it yet! ;) I've even got feedback from a group of pensioners in the USA, saying they enjoyed dancing to them. Left me rather speechless, that one...

    Lows:
    - A mate of mine died in suspicious circumstances at the end of September.
    - I had to put uni on hold because of aforementioned death, and various other shit.

What a quiet year I've had.

I thought that Jim V did all the bannings. Every single time I see a thread where someone's been banned, I always see a reply from him on the subject. If what I suspect is true, it's less Jim V the moderator and more Jim V the Chief Executioner. :p

I suppose still being here I suppose its a good thing. Having a good flat and some good mates too I suppose.

Bad, nothing amazingly bad, suppose not going anywhere, feeling I'm not doing anything with my life, not finding love etc.

Sounds like I'm making this up for the sake of it, but the best high I've had is the time I took E's for the first time in 2 and a half years. And the worst low was the comedown the next day. Haha! :crazyeyes :crazyeyes :D
