Out of interest, where is everyone going in September, which University? I most look forward to meeting new people and gaining knowledge.
Uncontrolled boozing and J smoking is another good point.

Absolutely cant wait!!! Im fed up of my year out working!
Gems, without looking in your profile, I thought you were much younger, and I can't explain why, because I don't know.
Similarly, I think that there are some very clever people, at or applying to some of the best unis, and I don't know why that doesn't surprise me. I've had better discussions here than I ever did at school, and sometimes at uni! There are top people on here.
Are you mad? I did three years at Uni and then took a year out. It was the best thing that I ever did. My 6 months in Spain have beaten anything that I've done at Uni. Having said that, I'm now in my final year (4 year course because 'tis in Scotland) and will probably cry for days when I leave. Good luck everyone!!!
So if you are going to have a year out you should plan it carefully!
BTW I am hoping to go to uni in September and start over again in the first year (I just quit my first year at Cardiff Uni), I have applied for one course which I really want to get, I have to submit some peices of work before they will decide. If I don't get in there I will try to get in somewhere through clearing.
No im not mad! I have enjoyed my year out but i meant im dying to be able to go and meet new people and do new stuff. Theres only so many 6.30 am starts i can handle in a year!
Can actually see your point now. I would advise anyone who takes a year out to think about it carefully. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and was quite lucky with job applications and stuff. Don't think that it would have been half as good if I'd spent the whole time working in a supermarket. Also, returning to Uni after 6 months in Spain was also one hell of a culture shock!!!
