Hi wonder if you could answer some of my questions:
I am currently doing AS level psychology. I want to continue it onto A Level and then I'm thinking of studying it at uni.
I would just like to hear about what it's like from people who are actually doing it.
What areas do you study?
Do you have to do any/a lot of presentations?
What uni are you studying it at?
+ Any other general information.
I would like to study criminal or forensic psychology. Can you do that as a subject or do you have to take criminology and psychology?
What grades did you need to do your course?
Does anyone know any useful sites on higher level psychology?
Thank you

I studied at Swansea and loved it.

The course for Psychology is divided into five modules, currently I've done alot on biopsychology and social psychology. The first year seems quite simular to my A-level course but with added depth on the statistics and correlation rubbish.
I'm doing quite a lot of coursework at the minute which is a bind because you only get a week to do the whole scientific report write-up. Apart from that, it's interessting and we only get the odd writing excercise. Exams are all multiple choice too, so thats better than the essay exams I did for A-level.
I recommend the course, at least it's mildly interessting.
I was always wondering how the classes were taught.
Were their lectures where you take notes, group discussions and mor importantly; any presentations??
I suffer from social anxiety and find it extremely difficult and nerve racking to talk in front of and group of people and espically stand up and to a talk, this is what i'm most worried about at uni.
About the forensic psychology - there are 3 unis that do that and they are all up north. Has anyone done criminology? Any good?
Also people stuying psy - what do you want to do with your degree when you leave?
