When you think about it, they're really expensive. One pair might cost you for pounds and if you're as unlucky as I am they get a hole or ladder the first time you wear them.

Some cheap ones I have from Primark have lasted me a few wears.

It's a bit hit and miss, and a lot of luck with what you brush up against. Yes you do get cheaper ones, and the cheaper ones aren't always worse quality, but even the best quality tights won't survive a sit on a wall or a brush agaist something snaggy.

Four pounds is expensive? psyduck.gif That's like, sacrificing a drink for the sake of an outfit.

    Every day though Kiezo, that's £4*365 = £1460 a year on tights. I'd say that's expensive.

Oh, I just assumed you meant going out and shit.

Can't wear jeans to work though can you? Anyway, I don't actually spend that mucha year on tights, but it is a major bummer when you buy a new pair and ladder them the same day.

Depends where you work. Most places that allow tights, allow trousers.

And this is why I rip all my tights before wearing D:

I wear skirts and dresses most of the time. Tights keep your legs warm in the winter, and look good and some are cooling in the summer. I do wear trousers sometimes though.

    Tesco Value or similar.

Don't seem to be much more prone to laddering for the thin ones and way cheaper.

Aye, I got five pairs for £2.50 a couple of days ago and have only trashed one.

Dab of clear nail polish will stop the holes and runs from going any further!

I agree Asda do good tights! They have control ones that suck everything in, which is great :thumb:

Last time I bought cheap ones they were horribly itchy and both pairs ripped after wearing them once.

New Look now do 110 denier so they should be a bit stronger and they are only a fiver.

try jonathan aston. they're around £5 a pair and my green ones survived a good few parties before getting a tiny hole in them which was barely noticable. i'm worst with tan-coloured tights: i need to buy thin ones 'cause i'm so pale, and they rip within seconds!

I love opaques but I'm over wearing skin coloured ones.
