Beetroot soup

Has anyone made beetroot soup without turning everything they own red? I'm thinking of making some but not too keen on dyeing my blender and chopping board etc bright red.

    I made it tonight! I've not eaten it yet though so no idea how it tastes. I'm glad the kitchen survived without getting too red, it was less messy than I expected. I used a receipe from a Linda McCartney cookbook.
