I am sure he was after one thing??

hi there, I think I just need some reassurance here as I think I also did the right thing.....can you let me know what you think as my gut instinct kicked in really badly over the weekend:
:(

Now I meet a new man who is the same age as me, 32. He has manners, sweet, a tad modest, generous, romantic, and the list goes on. Until he breaks the ice about how he normally goes for blonde women and perhaps its time to change his choices of partners. I am dark if you hadnt guessed....lol

We meet up once a week, and on the third date he invites me back round to his house which was lovely and cooks dinner. At his place we get quite intimate and in deep conversation, only to tell me that his friends on a recent stag do ended up being very unfaithful to their partners back home and that he didnt approve. Of course he says that he doesnt want a woman who drinks because they always end up going too far and sleeping around etc.....I dont really drink and he knows that, but still a strange comment to add??!?!

The way he was that night was making me feel strange, he was jittery, making comments of "if we dont work out, it would be great to be friends, because I think you are cool Jo!"
so I think hmmm, interesting comment but a few minutes later after kissing he says that it would be nice to just curl up on the sofa and cuddle all night, and that he prefers to cook for me rather than going out, etc etc...

Rather sweet, but alarm bells are ringing in my ear for some reason here. So after staying there til around midnight I decide to head off with him giving me that sulk look. He seems to thrive off my compliments but at the same time, met another women 2 weeks ago, who told him she was a glamour model, and page 3 girl and didnt really tell him that he thought he was nice. She never returned his calls or texts when he appeared interested in her. (Again a rather strange thing to say)and seemed quite hung up about the whole thing? He then goes on to tell me that this blonde lady has just ended a relationship with someone she was going to marry and to him sounds like he is on the rebound?? why be bothered about it?? he obviously likes her.

When I leave, he tells me I am more than welcome to go out with him and his friends the following night for the casino night but to be honest I am not ready or interested as I know his friends and dont really like....(he doesnt know that)

Something doesnt quite feel right, he says I can call him but I never do, he always instigates the texts as I am not sure, its like something is holding me back here.....

I feel he is one of the boys and after one thing?

Am I right to think this? when I do text him later on today to tell him its best if we dont meet up again, he says, "I have lost football today, bad back, and sorry dont understand what you mean, do you mean we can be friends see one another again as that is what I would like as I think you are stunning (pass the sick bucket please) and would still love to be friends with you even though we arent each other's types......is that a yes?

I reply, ITS A NO, NO CONTACT....

to which he replies with OK

any views......i think my gut instinct was trying to tell me something

thanks

jojo

Yeh he does sound a bit weird and completely tactless! I'm not sure what he was after to be honet, it's all a bit bizarre. But if the alarm bells are ringing then you should take note, and I think it's a good job you did.

I read this thing the other day that a womans instint on another person is usually right.

If it doesn't feel right with him I wouldn't bother !

In my opinion .. the bloke seems like a fruit cake so probably best your alarm bells started ringing !

What the hell? Just because someone drinks doesn't mean they're always going to end up cheating on their partner.
