My dad's recently claimed back his bank charges.

You're best starting by ringing your bank and asking for bank statements for the past few years. This'll take a few weeks mind. When you get your statements go through them highlighting the charges and add it up to see how much you've been charged over the years.

Then you need to like...ring your bank and tell them you want to claim your charges back. Threaten to shut down your account and the like. You'll more than likely be offered a sum a little lower than your charges. But all is good.

The GMTV website is useful :)
