    *Starts waving Windows logo flags*

Jump onto the vista bus Today!

Vista all depends on your computering needs, i would recommend Vista Home Prem Because that has everything you really need, anything lower is rubbish.

Some people may say its crap, some people may only like it for the looks and think that nothing has changed.
    :)

There's things that are nicer than XP in it and things that are worse. I wouldn't go out and buy it, but home premium came preinstalled on my laptop and haven't had any problems at all with it.

If you wan't a stable OS, then don't do latest Window until it's final.

    I.e.
    Windows 95 C
    Windows NT SP6
    Windows 98 SE
    Windows 2000 SP4
Windows ME <-- don't even go there!
    Windows XP SP2

See, you liked Windows ME, So we can't trust you on Vista.

XP for the win(dows)... It's no OS X though.

Looks good but like most newly-launched Windows products it needs a few years of testing and fixing before its worth using.

I got it, installed it and within hours went back to XP. It looks lovely but NOTHING, not even my soundcard, worked on it - driver hell!!

Give it time, maybe your manfacture did'nt send out drivers to windows update for vista or maybe you have to download them directly off there website

I'm sure I've noticed that ever since running Vista, my Championship manager 2007 game hasn't really worked, yet it was fine on my dad's laptop which has XP on it. :chin:

Its alright, i used it for a few months and it was ok, its better for looks and effects and probably for a home user wanting to browse the net and use MSN etc.

but for anything like playing games or the more advanced user id reccomend staying with XP, i prefer performance and reliability over looks and special effects tbh.

And i could have guessed CoolMe had the most posts in here :p

Im gonna wait till the first service pack release, which is in beta already.

Never going to trust a first release from microsoft again. Remember the first edition of XP? where clicking a certain link would delete any chosen folder on your hard drive. That was fun:rolleyes:
