Torchwood

What do you guys think of Torchwood? Here in Australia, Channel 10 has been showing the very first season of it for the past few weeks...its a great show. :) A bit weird...actually, no, very weird. :P But it is awesome. The last episode shown here was the one where Eugene got hit by a car...poor Eugene. :( :P

    It was alright, though a bit limited. The promise of a modern version of an adult sci-fi show (in the vein of Ultraviolet, Millennium or even the incredible Battlestar Galatica) never really came off, as the show had a tendency to drop too quickly into cliché or ribald tits-out 'aren't we adult?' moments that hurt the plot lines.

    Did the job between Doctor Who seasons though.

    Yeah...thats the thing about Torchwood..there are some parts where they get obsessed with the adult bits all of a sudden, and its all like, "what happened to the plot??" Other than that its all good t hough :)

    I enjoyed it as a Dr Who stop gap and never took it very seriously. Might not get the Second series in the UK until beginning of next year as well.
