broken scaphoid and cast.

I fell on my arm last mon, thought nothing of it untill my fingers turned blue with the swelling. i eventually went to A and E on thurs where they suspected a fracture, i was put into a splint. i then went back mon, where they told me i had broken my scaphoid and I was put in a cast that covers my thumb to, the only problem is that the cast is really uncomfortable and doing my head in, its ithy and feels weird, how can i make it any more comfortable so i can sleep and still carry on working? Im only home for a few days then im off back to sunny west wales to continue working on an adventures activities camp, so i really need some rest!
