home perming kits...

i know i'm walking upon uneven ground with this one...

but i found out that it will cost me £60 odd for it to be done, thus it would be much cheaper to do it myself...

has anyone actually permed their hair with one of these kits? any tips?

I'd avoid it! I've learnt from bitter experience to do anything like that properly.

it just gives my hair a bit of a wave...and plus it makes my hair uber porous which means that really bright colours work wonders...

might just save up....home colouring is a another matter completely!

Aye I wouldn't recommend it, it can seriously fuck your hair if you dunno what you're doing.

How about investigating going to a hairdressing school to get it done for free - there are lots of them in london and some are really good and they always need models.

I had a perm when I was 14. It was the biggest mistake I've ever made; that and thinking that a perm would actually look nice. Haha, I was wrong.
