Question about free eye tests

Apparantely, I'm entitled to these due to being partially sighted. What proof (if any) do I need that I'm partially sighted/entitled to free eye tests?

    No idea. Did you register as being partially sighted? That may be the proof you need.

    Although you'd think that the eye test would prove it!

    I thought all eye test were free now?

    Edit - Ooops it's only in Scotland they're free.

    I have someone coming around on Thursday from the council who is going to register me and talk to me about what happens if I register.
