Laser eye consultation question

My friend and I are meant to be going out tomorrow night but she forgot that she has a laser eye surgery consultation appointment in the afternoon, and which they told her to bring someone to help her get home as she won't be able to see.
Now I am assuming they will be putting drops or something in her eyes, but does anyone know how long this blindness will last?

    I didnt have any drops in my eyes when I went for my consultation. It was simply a chance for him to see if my eyes were suitable and explain the situation.

    I'm having this done on the 2nd of July. If all is well they said they will do the op at 4pm after the consultation.
