God i love 'em. Making a strawberry and Kirsch gateaux for tonight no i've been nibbling a few :) and they're soooooo much better than the imported crap.

    I dont like any that you can buy from the supermarket. There a few places around here where you can pick your own strawberrys, raspberrys and gooesberries.

    They taste soooo much better, I find all the supermarket bought strawberrys taste of just water.

    I've been buying organic strawberries form Sainsburys and noticed they taste soooo much sweeter than earlier in the year.


    Now cherries, which I used to buy in France are amaaaazingly sweet

    At my old home years ago we were given some wild strawberry plants. Bit gnarly, but i'm not that bothered about appearence, but the taste was divine.

    How long does it take for the strawberrys to grow ? We have strawberry plants but nothing has grown. The puppy is quite fond of eating the leaves though.

    No, hes just a retriever. But hes fur is quite short so he does look like a labrador. They do look pretty similar. One of my parents friends have a retriever/ labrador cross, they are well cute :D

    He keeps chewing everything though. I have already lost a pair of trainers.

    Oh! And Marks and Sparks' British strawbs are half price! 1.99 for big beastly strawbs, they're lovely with Canderel sugar sprinkled, single cream dusted with cocoa powder. :yum:

    There used to be loads of PYO places roubnd my way, but they've all but disappeared.

    After school when we were little I remember robbing hundreds of strawberries, making ourselves sick on them and using the rest to throw at each other.
