what outstands me is that the shorter the war the longer the fallout when the formal conflict 'ends'

    That'd be because the nauseating land grab that took place during the war hasn't been corrected yet, and in fact continues to be expanded.

    40 years of shame for the international community. 40 years of unspeakable abuse, atrocities and crimes against humanity against an entire people.

    *Awaits the arrival of the 'Israelis were only defending themselves when they nicked all the land and they still need it today to fend off attacks from evil terrorist Palestinians' brigade.*
