Camera Suggestions

I apologise that this is being asked again after 1983's thread but I need some advise and recommendations.

I have around £150 to spend on a digital camera.

I need it mainly for:
- eBay
- family snaps
- taking pics when out in the pub (dim light)

Needs to be easy to transfer photos from camera to pc. Used Canon in the past and find it very simple.

Simple interface

Not a pokey screen

Robust. Knowing me will probably be dropped, so needs to be able to take a few small knocks.

Small enough to be carried around in my bag all of the time



NB: Would be good if it could also have movie mode - but not essential

Consider looking for one of the more recent compacts with face-recognition focus and image stabilization. That should help out with your family shots and the pub shots (though your moving subjects in a pub will still be blurred unless you use flash.)

Really any current camera will deal with your Ebay shots.

I have seen three that I like the look of and that seem OK to me. What would you recommend out of these three?

Don't know about the other 2, but I have only heard good things about the Fuji Finepix range. I bought one (not that model - I think it was the one below it) for my mum for Christmas and it is a good wee model.

Just to complete the set then, I'd go for the Pentax. Not really much in it, which is why I reckon you should get the cheapest (d'you need a memory card for the £150 too?). They're all decent makes, but the Pentax and Nikon have a higher resolution.

On the other hand this looks quite good.
