How much would you expect to pay for one? Or have bought/sold one for?

I've just bought a silver ford cd player, used, but in excellent condition and am worried I may have paid too much.

    £20 tops i reckon.

Manufacturer units tend to be crapish and you can get decent non-standard head units online with 50wpower and mp3etc for like £50 these days brand new.

I only paid £80 from Halfords for a brand new Sony cd/mp3 player with a connection to plug my ipod into.

Not much for an own brand one at all, if given the choice though i'd have bought a decent one.
