I've sworn by this web site by since 1999 and got in contact with makers of some brilliant material. The artists tend to stick around for years, showcasing albums upon albums of music - many of it freely downloable as mp3 files. Has anyone here visited mp3.com?
According to this article, CNET is buying the name, and it will be relaunched next year as an information-only service. The 250,000 artists and 750,000 downloads will be scrapped.
Do any of you know of other sites for amateur music? Being a composer myself, I will want to find somewhere equivelent to showcase my music.

Good luck. :thumb: :thumb:
p.s, What sort of tunes do you produce mate?
As in my own music, I produce (badly!) funky house and a lot of mid 90s-influenced dance. I've also experiemented with jungle and two-step.
For other people's music, I've always been interested in disco/filtered house (David Morales / Pete Heller type), progressive house, some trance and a bit of jungle/two-step again.
