I was on the train the other day and it seemed no one could get any peace on the carriage because some prick kid would not stop screaming his head off. Did his parents think it was appropriate behaviour? Evidently so since they didn't stop him.
Personally I think a person should have a LICENCE in order to have children.
OK, yes, parental styles differ nevertheless that does not excuse a lack of discipline whilst raising a child.

Well well well, it would seem that monocrat here is all for individual rights... unless is something that personally annoys him.
Your chums at the Libertarian Party would be ashamed if they knew your views on this...
OK, someone can stop you from doing your job or even looking for one?
Someone can take all your property. Someone can even kill you. Hmmm....rights are a nonsense then?
not the easiest thing in the world, let me tell you.
That's my point. It's the parenting that is the dilemma here.
Indeed.
Otherwise they might raise an emotionally detached, anally retentive arsehole.
The point is the everybody has different parents who bring their children up in different ways. This contributes to a more mixed and broad cultural society, made up of different individuals with different experiences, even if we do believe they are wrong.
Correct him/her.
How?
selective breeding
Who says I'm against rights? Re-read my post and see if you get what I'm saying. Just in case you don't, let me make it clearer:
You have tirelessly campaigned for all sort of individual rights, from the basic to the bizarre (like the right to own nuclear weapons). And yet in this occasion you are AGAINST the right to have children, one of the most fundamental and basic rights a person can have- and certainly a trillion zillion times more important than the right to bear arms you go on about all day.
So what's happening here? Is your aversion to children getting the better of you? The champion and defender of rights suddenly campaigns against the right to have children?
Oh dear dear...
So it's wrong to discipline children?
It's simply that methods of discipline differ.
Everyone has the right to scream and shout as much as they want, who are you to stop them?
Where did I say it was wrong?
I asked you how you would "correct him/her".
No they don't.
If I scream and shout at someone in the street, I can get arrested by the police.
You clearly don't understand the notion of freedom of speech.
in the same vein
you can drive without wearing a seatbelt, you can get arrested by the police
Yes.
A licence to have children should enable people to be proper parents.
And before someone states that parenting is 'subjective', is proper parenting neglecing or abusing your child? Or allowing them to commit crime? No.
so
you defend the right not to have to wear a seatbelt so why not defend the right to scream and shout
afterall freedom is freedom and as Al said you are now against someones right becasue it pisses you off?
You don't understand the concept of freedom then....
If I don't get an answer I shall write to your friends at the Libertarian Party and let them know of your little slip concerning the right to have children.
They will be most in you at your double standards, no doubt...
I'm still waiting.
You don't have much contact with children do you? or indeed any of the human race.
Neither is the right to own nuclear weapons.
So?
