In our school:
They let go guidance teachers,
Changed the names from guidance teachers to Pastoral Care Workers,
Changed the names of the Assistant Heads to Depute Heads
What is the fucking point?!! Theyre still the muther fucking same people doing the same jobs! No one will take any notice.

Head plus other important people = Senior Magagement Team
Head of Department = Department Manager
Head of year = Pastoral Manager and/or Year Group Manager
And they scrapped the title of head girl/boy and replaced it with something stupid, but i cant remember what because that changed just as I left.
There were loads of little changes like that when they got the new headmistress (she has a management degree, would you guess)
BBB
Head of Department = Principal teacher of-_______
Head of years are all Depute heads
She changed the year names- When i was going through the school it was 1e,2e,3e,4c,5c etc but she changed it to 7,8,9 etc.
And then it was frowned upon to use the old style names, but we found that sooo hard. Like changing to metric again. It got so confusing trying to figure out what year it meant people were in when we were trying to organise house activities...
Its stupid, I call our a tutor for gods sakes!
The years changed all over at one point so that it runs smoothly throughout,
