Nasty rash

for the past year or two I have had this really annoying recurring rash. I went to the docs, who gave me trimovate (I think that's how you spell it!), which is basically to sooth the skin and kill the infection (I think it's for fungal problems, but not sure). But it keeps coming back....when I use the cream it goes, but then a couple of weeks to a month later it comes back, and it's driving me mad! The doc said it's normal for this kind of infection to keep coming back, but should it be coming back this often? I don't get it....the cream must be working for the rash to go away in the first place, so why does it come back so quickly? It's so itchy....grrrr! Any advice appreciated!

Some creams suit some rashes better.
Actually I don't understand how the doctor didn't prescribe you something else. Not like he doesn't have an extravagant choice of medication to give you.
Maybe a reaction to one of your pairs of trousers? Is the waist very tight and sweaty when wearing trousers? Maybe try looser fitting trousers for a while..
Did the doctor rule out eczema?
I don't wear particularly tight trousers, just jeans mainly, sometimes cords.
Sweat can easily dissolve nickel out of metal (trouser buttons & zips etc.) even through a layer of cloth. It's a pretty common allergy.
There is some info here about nickel allergy which might help you out.
I think a lot of people (myself included) find out by trial and error really. I had some earrings that itched like hell, and then many a cheapskate bracelet that turned my wrist an alarming shade of 'ow.'
I just try & avoid it now. Well, when I remember that is.
