Hello yesterday the government published the new SEND white paper so I thought to create this thread (also one on general chat category) to discuss it
The paper official name is Policy paper Every child achieving and thriving Reforms to the schools and SEND systems in England to ensure that every child can achieve and thrive.
But you'll often see news refer to it as SEND white paper
Link to official .gov publication is below

Hey @BensonE thanks for sharing this with us! It's good to see that there has been measures put in place to make sure that all children can achieve and thrive in education, everyone deserves that! How has the release of this made you feel? What are your thoughts on this I wonder?
My concern is how government ignored the EHCP questions
@BensonE It makes sense you're concerned about they have ignored the EHCP questions, that must seem so frustrating. What sort of questions do you feel need to be addressed, which should have been answered in this paper?
What a good topic to have a thread on - and one that i'm sure many people will feel the impacts from. I read a lot of white/green papers and policy stuff on this topic of SEND when I was doing my degree, so I'll be sure to definitely have a look at it at some point soon.
It'll definitely be interesting to hear your views and that of whoever else in the community regarding what has been put forward - if you feel up to sharing that is 😊
Its a interesting topic
For anyone whom would like to share your opinion please do as in news there is alot of good and bad opinions shared and every opinion is valid as it comes from personal eexperience
