yeah same, as soon as i turn 18 im going on side by side. but it wont be the same. the mix helped me through so much. but each update gets worse and worse. it sucks.
Likewise. I might stick around with chat's admittedly, but i'd be withdrawing from boards most likely when the changes happen. And quite frankly, i think they expect a massive exodus from boards to happen around that time. The boards link has been moved from the main mix page from first, to third, which might just be coincidence, but it might not be.
interesting. when i go on the boards i just search up "the mix community" so i dont even go on the main website hence why i havent seen that happen.
The Mix means a lot to me for a numerous reasons but mainly because it was the first time I felt like I was a valued member of a community and I felt like I made some friends here as well which is something I never thought I could do.
yeah ive made some friends here too which is nice. there arent a lot of communities out there that make you feel like a valued member.
anyways its half past 10 and im going to start getting ready for bed. i may come back here if i struggle to get some sleep but we'll see. goodnight.
I hope I can do that with Side by Side, but I'm not sure. I hope so though.

@so_very_tired i know the feeling. This place was the first place i ever made friends in my life cause of my extreme life circumstances, first time i could ever open up, with one or two massive hiccups, and is the first place of real human connection i've had, but each update is worsening things.
I saw somebody who came on not too long ago, who was part of the group of boards users who left en masse after the merger and changes happened, and it's really sad, because i got on with really well with them. Most left prior to me joining, after being here for years, when the merger happened. And i just think sometimes about all the awesome people on boards today, and the fact there used to be like 2-3 times as many people, all probably equally as awesome people that lost this space cause of the changes made, and it seems things are repeating again. You know, the lost friendships that could have happened, the support these people lost. It's sad stuff.

I regret not coming here earlier. Was really struggling 15-16 and this website could of been very beneficial, but I decided not to because I made the decision to do something else in the future (I'm not going to get into that at the moment), really regret it now because I could of used a bit of support.
@so_very_tired oh yeah, the Japanese ambassador is awesome. Like, more patriotic and loving of the UK than our own politicians. He's a real one.
