scared im gonna end up in a jail cell

as the title suggests, im scared im gonna end up in a jail cell someday. whether that be now or in the distant future. this is probably because of my stupid actions. im 17 as well so im getting closer and closer to becoming a legal adult so at 18 if i do get caught doing something illegal ill end up getting an adult sentence. can anyone else relate or is it just me?

Hi @toffuna101, sounds like you are have a few worries about the transition to becoming an adult and what extra responsibility/accountability this brings, is this right?

thanks, kind of yeah, but that wasnt the point of the post. im scared of being prosecuted for a crime, its not about transitioning to adulthood or anything.
Hey @toffuna101 sorry for the delay replying to this thread this afternoon. I'm hearing that your main concerns are about crime rather than transitioning to adulthood. It's definitely worth checking out the links that Sabah sent to help navigate big life changes, and reduce any stress that might make you more vulnerable to committing a crime during these life changes.
In terms of being scared for being prosecuted for a crime, is there any specific crime that you're worried about I wonder? Is this concern linked to the illegal document I wonder?

@toffuna101 You are not alone in feeling scared and I think is completely understandable to worry about the future and think about the consequences that come with becoming an adult.
Feeling anxious does not mean you are doomed or that something terrible is guaranteed to happen. It shows that you care about yourself and your future, and that awareness is a really positive thing. Many people have moments they look back on and question. Those are a part of learning and figuring out who you are along the way.
Even if it feels overwhelming, your past actions do not control what happens next. You still have so much time to grow to make better choices and to shape the future you want for yourself. We believe in your strength and capability to reach there one step at a time. You deserve compassion, understanding and a chance to move forward without fear.
i dont wanna say the crime in case i get any backlash for it, but it is linked to the illegal document yes.
