I'm feeling kind of low right now, I think it's because of Christmas coming up and just generally feeling depressed, but I'm trying to take care of myself.

I hate everything about myself right now. Supposed to be tidying things away in the new place with my partner but I feel useless and sat crying for no reason

Hey @Lottie5433 I'm sorry things are hard for you right now. I promise you though, you're not useless at all, even if it feels that way right now. It's okay to cry, and it's okay to slow down and take care of yourself if you need to. I'm here for you if you'd like to talk

Aw I totally get that, and it's completely natural to be scared, especially since starting a new job is a big change. I genuinely believe you'll do well though - you've already shown so much perseverance in job searching and dealing with everything else going on.

It may not be super fancy I do have a small job working outside cleaning up after some animals. And I know it's really scary starting a new job, since I remember feeling that way as well when I started.

I don't know if it helps or not, but my first day at work I was so nervous, and that made me really clumsy and I felt like I was making so many mistakes and like I wasn't cut out for the job. But they still took me for the job, and now it's a lot easier and less nerve-wracking. I guess what I'm trying to say is that even if it's scary, or you feel like you're not good enough, it will be okay and it gets easier the more you do it. I do believe in you

The early mornings thing is overwhelming me a bit too because its all new to me, I will get used to it and Id way prefer it over evenings or nights coz then my work is done but yh its just something Ive not done before and different. I keep feeling ok then back negative, I feel up and down about it all

I started the job, its still not a fix fully but somewhat fixes and ive done what I didnt think I'd would especially before Christmas and it should be easier to move into another role.  I updated my programme and they said in new  year we can look at something else.

I'm feeling really stressed about Christmas coming up, especially since there's always so much pressure from my parents to be cheerful and excited, and I don't feel that way at all. I don't want to seem ungrateful, and I really appreciate the effort my parents put into Christmas, it's just hard having to pretend I'm happy. I tried to tell my mum I wasn't doing great earlier but her response was just 'cheer up, it's Christmas' and that was kind of upsetting.

@Nemuritai its understandable to be stressed with Christmas, it unfortunately not a time to look forward to, to many even though it seems a lot are having a good time. You aren't ungrateful at all. Its reasonable to be hurt as "cheer up" too, there's a lot of reasons why its hard. You were also brave to talk to your mum about your feelings, Im sorry that ended pretty upsetting for you, we all here hear you

Aw no worries, I've been meaning to respond to your post actually. I'm doing alright thank you for asking ☺. To be fair I havent been doing much actually. Though I have been mostly at home making the most of my Christmas break before I go back to my internship in January.

I was also going to go but I woke up late. Apparently there wasn't enough turnout to do the watch parry. But I think there's another one on the weekend I think on the 27th.
