I think if you press and hold on one of the reaction buttons, if someone has reacted their pfp and username comes up, however it isn't immediately visible like it used to be <3

@eylah thank you for raising this, our website developers are working on a fix for it asap.
Its hurting my brain this new site its just harder to use
also. anytime i try writing a reply to any post it keeps scrolling up my screen. like it keeps glitching every time i write a reply.
This new layout is so confusing! I dont unserstand it!
Hey folks, so we are experiencing more tech issues than expected with this new upgrade and please know we are passing on all of these issues to the developers. We did do lots of testing for this upgrade on our testing site, however it appears these issues are only coming up on our live discussion boards and we were unable to anticipate them.

I will write down the ones I mentioned in chat so you have them here as well.
There is now a share button and a copy button next to every comment, which could be handy while the flag button is gone, but obviously not great if it stays for confidentiality reasons (sharing a link to a comment could be equivalent to taking a screen shot).
To be fair, a lot of the issues with the text box appear to have been fixed - it’s showing up here as I’m typing this as double enter does what it’s supposed to, is it showing up correctly for you when I actually press post? The buttons to access formatting options actually work with my screen reader now too, which they didn’t while testing. But any keyboard shortcut it tells me to do simply doesn’t work. CTRL + shift + P, for example, brings up a windows printing menu. And you can’t just type the name to tag someone anymore you have to press on the name on the screen now, I know this so it’s ok and i know where it pops up, but someone new to screen readers may not.
Another issue is that tagging seems to only be working sometimes, and not at all at other times.
I don't think it's such an important issue as some other things, but the emojis that used to be here disappeared. Maybe that was intentional though, I'm not sure.
I've been having this same issue as well because when I want to react to something, it says discussion not found. But on this thread it allows me to react.

@independent_ thank you so much for popping those here. In terms of the share and copy buttons I do believe those are functions we can remove so we'll have a chat as a team about whether we wish to do that. For the text-box I'm glad to hear it isn't causing as many issues as it did before! I have noticed a few issues still happening with it such as tagging others can be a bit temperamental so we might switch it back to the old one whilst we wait for the issues to be fixed by the developers. We can take a look into that today.
@Nathan yeah we're aware of the tagging issue and we think it's to do with the updated text-box. We noticed it when we tested this new text box a few months ago and it seems the issue is still happening!
@Nemuritai with this new upgrade does come new emojis and a much bigger selection! What do you think to them?
@Amy22 yes we're still having this issue too and it's pretty frustrating! We're hoping to get that fixed ASAP so apologies!
I know a couple of people have mentioned a glitchy scrolling issue. If possible it would be great if someone could take a screen-recording and email it to us community@mhiuk.org so that we can pass this onto the tech team please!
How do I do the emojis @Katie used to be able to just type them but don’t think I can now (let’s try) <3 and can’t see a button for it on my phone
@independent_ so we are currently trying to turn the text-box back to the old one which will bring back the old emojis and how you access them, however for some reason the text box isn't reverting back to the old one when you make a new comment, but it is when you make new posts or send DMs. We'll try get this fixed today.
Whilst we are still on the upgraded text-box, for me in the bottom left hand corner of the text box there is a smiley face which when I hover over it it says "emoji picker", and then there's lots of emojis to choose from. Is your screen reader not finding it?
No but i'm on my phone, idk if it's different on the phones?
@independent_ I've just checked on my phone and you're right there doesn't seem to be an emoji button how odd! Okay thank you for flagging this I will add it onto our list
Oh how odd @Katie you’d think they have it on the phone as well. Maybe their thinking is that emojis are built into phones so you can just use those?

I’m just making a note that when I go to “mark all forums as read” it glitches and comes up with an error. I only mention this because I frequently mark them as read to remove the notification of “X new comments”. But also if I open a post and read the comments it still comes up with that there are new comments even if I have read them all

Yeah I was thinking that @independent_ and that is likely the reason! On your mobile are you able to use the emojis already built into your phone when posting on here?

( did it but bc it is rly glitchy it is hard for my to show. but every time i type a msg for example this reply it scrolls back up the page. it keeps doing that. like it won’t stop until you stop typing. :/ )

Also, is it only scrolling when you are typing a message or does it happen when you're just reading a post?

Ok yes this works 🤣 you can now see what emojis i use the most lol
happens on my ipad and on my phone! and it sometimes happens when I am just reading a post. but also it happens mostly when i type a msg.
