college is so long

toffuna101toffuna101 Posts: 3,391 Boards Guru
even though college is only three days a week i often find that the days i do have college are long. it could be because ive adjusted to the schedule and it no longer seems new but still. i know its only a few hours a day for those three days though so its not as bad as it was in sixth form. maybe i should just stop complaining.

Back when I was in college, even though I didn't have to come in every day, the hours felt quite long. How long is your college course?

College can feel very log especially doing the hours too. I know the feeling because I've been there with adjusting to a whole new schedule especially with the whole 9 till 4 starts too sometimes. When I did college I mostly was in I believe for 3 days then 2 days working from home (post covid 19 lockdown). It's okay to feel like the hours are long and it's OK to feel tired as well because that is genuine reaction because it will be a new experience and will take some time adjusting to. I've noticed you've mentioned your course is for 2 years and that if you wanted to you can do one year instead. I wonder if this is something you could explore maybe if you do find college to be a bit much. So when I did creative media I was able to do 2 years but the second year was optional but that was because it was a extended year so expanding on what we learnt in year 2 basically. This could potentially be the case for your course in a way. What subject are you doing in college at the moment if you don't mind me asking?.

Just a person who likes pop culture and films

@Amy22 yeah its the same in my college where the second year is optional but if you only do the first year you only get the equivalent of 1.5 a levels. so i wanna try to do the second year to get the equivalent of three a levels. im doing business at the moment and thats the only subject im doing since im doing the foundation diploma at the moment.

Okay, I hope everything goes well for you with the course, and you're able to complete it.
