Dreading going to work and my next panic attack

My gp is unable to medicate me unless I see him in person. I’m unable since I don’t have a vechile or anyone to take me there.

All I wanna do I cry. I’m dreading going back to work because I can’t control my panic attacks, even with mindfulness techniques.

Edit: I’ve asked my family if I could get medicated to stop crying at work. I didn’t say I keep having panic attacks. They refused because they want me to toughen up

That sounds difficult situation for you.

Are you able to explain to gp practice barrierd of getting there.
Can your parents suppoty you in getting there . However am thinking you may not want your parrnts to know its that right. Can't you say your goung for a review, the gp has called you in .
Panic attacks can be overwhelming and consuming and I hear you. Having them at work can be embarrassing and not plesent as well, it'd understandable you wsnt to avoid for this reason but by avoiding work ypubare giving in and listening to the anxiety which actually makes it worse and stronger- you need to fight against it! You can do this
    - tty and identify what it is about work.
    - can you speak to work so thry can help.

Also. Im. Wondering whats stopping you from telling your parents.

We are here for you im aware ive asked a lot, just asked as it came but no pressure you sharr what you feel comfortable .

@Invisible_me in my message, I explained to my GP that I can’t get there in person on my own, neither can my family take me because they don’t understand. I suggested in my message that they deliver it to a local pharmacy which I can sneak to when my family is shopping. They still declined my request.

I’m not sure whether you sent your message before my edit or not. But I’ve suggested getting medication and they refused because they want me to toughen up and have character development. They’ll never understand my mental health issues.

Also, they’ll be very suspicious of me suddenly having to go in because my GP says so. They’ll just keep nagging me for an answer.

My workplace is sort of aware of my panic attacks. In the past, they were worried I was gonna kill myself. So they suggested their work app where people who are struggling mentally can talk to professionals. I’ve booked a session with one, and they said my issues are too complicated, so they directed me to a page full of private therapists which I can pay for.

Currently, I’m paying to see a therapist and whilst we’ve tried different techniques, I think I need medication because I generally struggle to not have panic attacks at work.

you should be able to make an appt with your gp over the phone. they have ‘telephone’ slots that you can book in like a face to face gp appt. but instead of speaking face to face it’s over phone. maybe that will help if you can’t go in person. i hope you’re okay. you can book an appt in if you have the nhs app. it’s easier if you’re worried your family hearing you make the appt etc.
ppl dont always need advice. sometimes all they rly need is a hand to hold. an ear to listen. and a heart to understand them. 🧸
