if you’re not comfortable in replying to this person then that is okay! you shouldn’t have to reply if you’re not wanting to. <3

was it rude/ do I need to say something ? Going to the gym is perpetuating / maintaining / reinforcing my eating disorder and causing me stress and anxiety

    It’s my personal trainer

I really don’t enjoy the sessions at all in any way at all

Does your trainer know about your eating disorder? It might be something to bring up to him as he might be able to support you in away that doesnt reinforce the eating disorder..
If you are not enjoying the sessions it is something to also bring up as well

    Hope your okay

If it’s making you feel worse, then don’t go. Tell him you need a break or want to stop or something. You don’t have to say why, or you could make something up.

It’s had cus I overshared so much with him it makes me really anxious

At this point I feel like he’s only making the eating disorder worse

    The focus on body
And I gained fat which is destroying me a bit
He’s a bit of a no pain no gain kind of guy

@nem , thank you for sharing this, and it sounds like you're feeling that your personal training sessions have been leaving you feeling worse about yourself, and very anxious in the lead-up too.

As your peers have shared above, it is valid if you do not wish to reply to him or do not wish to continuing having sessions together, and you deserve to be able to do what feels best and safety for you here for your own wellbeing.

I hear that coping with changes to your body has been distressing for you, and you're being really brave to share about this. Organizations such as BEAT may be able to offer you some further help in this area: https://www.beateatingdisorders.org.uk/, as well as the App Worth Warrior - https://worthwarrior.stem4.org.uk/, which supports with body-image struggles and low self-esteem.
I have edited out your screenshot above as I see you've included your instructors name. Please note that The Mix Discussion Boards is a public website, therefore, anyone on the internet can read all that is posted here, and we realize that people might not have consented to having their text-messages shared.
