I hear this is your first time speaking to anyone about this so a big well done on being able to open up. Being nervous is totally valid but as a community we're here to listen and support.
I'm hearing you're feeling insecure about yourself and puberty, and feel quite afraid using public bathrooms. Do you feel comfy sharing how long you've felt like this? I'm also wondering if there's anything in particular that makes you feel uncomfortable about using public bathrooms?
I’m 22 now so this was a long time ago for me now but I definitely remember the insecurity that came with it. I can only speak from a female perspective but I imagine the same for boys too. As a girl, public bathrooms are nerve racking especially when you’re starting periods and have that to deal with as well as everything else, so that’s completely natural.
We’re right here if you want to share any more about what specifically is making you feel so insecure, hopefully we can try to help and reassure you. I may be an adult and long past this stage, but I remember it so well and it was one of the toughest times of my life too, so you’re not alone.
