    @River I'm so so sorry for your loss. I'm here to talk if you want, but there is truly nothing you could have done in that situation. Close proximity doesn't make any difference whether it happens or not. It simply takes people by surprise and often people have no idea. The most happy people and the ones we least expect are often the ones who are the most hurt. Think of Robin Williams. nobody had any clue. I know this is no consolation, but we're here for you river always. And i'm so so sorry your hurting from it right now.

    @River i totally understand. The stuff you've had to go through already in the past leaves you struggling and feeling exhausted, and then with everything else going on now, from college, to family, to losing friends, to the majority of helplines being utter crap, it's rather cruel isn't it. There's no shame in crying. it's better to get it all out than bottle it up.

    @eylah you are so much braver than you know. Reaching out is hard and it's brutal to get a poor excuse for a helpline worker when it took so much to reach out. I'm so sorry your going through all that and the thunder and lightning is just making it worse. I'm here if you want to talk. You deserve this space to vent about everything or anything you want friend. You're special, and amongst friends here, don't ever forget that.

    @River Amazing stuff river. People tend to think that mourning should go a certain way, throw a flower and that's that, and you should just go with the crowd, like i assume your family is doing, but mourning in your own unique way, that's true love right there. For example, I usually pour out a glass of whiskey for my grandma and leave it where we scattered her ashes 5 years on. It was her all over. I'm glad you found your special way to honour and remember your grandma. That's the best way to remember there is.

    @River just read the tribute and watched it. it's honestly beautiful. It's easy to see how much she meant to you. That is true remembrance. Not a takeaway and a group party and family get together, but something that truly represents what she meant to you.

    @River that's a good idea. Do whatever it is that you feel honours who she was to you. Nothing else matters. The normal expectations of what people normally do, does not matter. All that matters is the bond between you and her, and what you feel represents it best. For me, whiskey. Possibly boxing gloves if i can get some in a few days on the 5th anniversary (i'll explain at a later date but we called her "iron Mary Tyson" like "iron Mike Tyson" ๐Ÿ˜‚). It doesn't matter how unorthodox. Just do you and her, and screw anybody else and what they think.
