Food allergies

So I think I’m allergic to either Diet Coke or a certain takeaway type (I don’t want to say what as will probably be taken the wrong way :/ )

I think I should do triage form on Monday for my doctors but I don’t want to waste there time if there’s nothing they can do?

The thing is I can drink Diet Coke, Pepsi etc with no effect on some days but yet tonight when I was having Diet Coke and the takeaway I started getting itchy and this rash appeared (I’m safe)

    @Rose113 You don't have to worry about it being taken the wrong way. For example, chinese takeaway food, they tend to put a lot of MSG in. Indian takeaway food, heavy in certain spices. You don't have to worry about it being taken the wrong way, it's a legitmate fact that certain takeaway types are heavy in certain things that can cause this sort of reaction. And if you can have diet coke normally, then it's most likely just the takeaway type. And there's no harm in getting checked out at the doctors for it.

    Thank you @DonnerKebab <3 i might mention it on the 16th, is it bad if I have a takeaway tonight just to be sure if it is that, maybe that’s daft idea sorry

    @Rose113 Probably best to avoid it. If it's possibly caused a rash on your skin, then perhaps not the best idea to eat it, and risk it causing any internal issues, especially with things like the stomach lining and stuff. Better to play it safe you know. It most likely won't cause an issue, but best not to chance it.
    Out of curiosity, what takeaway would it be if your comfortable sharing? Cause I had issues with Chinese food making me feel a bit sick and bloated afterwards and it turns out it was the MSG in it.

    @DonnerKebab yeah that makes sense, yeah it’s Chinese food for me too, I don’t know why I react but tbf I have a reaction to most things

    @Rose113 I actually missed beef in black bean sauce and egg fried rice so much i learnt how to make it myself, experimented with missing out certain ingredients, until i found the one that was causing it, which was msg for me and started doing it without it. It wasn't an allergy for me, just a bloated and sick feeling afterwards. It may just be one ingredient causing it for you, because Chinese takeaway places stick msg in absolutely everything. But yeah, check with your doctor first, and just have safety precautions in place if you were to experiment or try anymore.

    My usual order is salt and pepper chicken or chow mein but no vegies :lol: dont like the veggies haha @DonnerKebab

    A lot of strange ingredients. The filling in Greggs chicken bakes is squirrel, unicorn, and seasoning. Delicious stuff.

    Or if you get the Greg’s app you can keep getting ones you like till I think you reach a certain amount to get a free one and then you could get it then aha @eylah
