fluoexetine 10mg worried about serotonin syndrome

so, i was prescribed fluoexetine. I used to take propanolol but it didnt help.
I and feel depressed alot (but not right now) and i am easily irritable. I also have anxiety quite often and i couldnt get a job because of all of this.
january 2024 i had to do an autism assessment and it was very likely im autistic, i have family members who are also autistic and i get irritated easily by sounds and textures and even lights, and i cant concentrate on liteerally anything. im too scared to try fluoexetine even though i really wanted to get on it for so long, because im not rlly depressed rn, but i was kinda when i was prescribed it, i still get alot of anxiety, especially when i leave the house and i overthink alot, and im still kinda irritable i hoped that fluoexetine would stop my sensory problems, but im worried if ill get serotonin syndrome or something.
I mean, i get anxious alot and overthink and its hindering me but im not depressed (at the moment)

I think you are likely to get some side effects when you first start taking it, as your body adjusts. It’s different for everyone but I was very tired and it made my anxiety worse for a few weeks. It was hard but eventually it made a positive difference.
I think serotonin syndrome is unlikely, as long as you take it as prescribed and don’t go doubling up on doses or anything. You could talk to your doctor about it if it’s worrying you though.
You don’t have to take it if you don’t want to though, of course
what if i am not feeling anxious at the moment? does it help with the sensory issues? I've been wanting to take this for almost 2 years until i was prescribed it
I think it can help settle feelings of anxiety but to fair like nmwhen I'm in a massive overload (I have autism as well) I don't take it its the last thing I remember and not something I want in my mouth. So I tend to take it as a 'pre caution'
