Ironic

Yesterday at work, my manager was talking about how my workplace used to make pretty coworkers work at front with the public, whilst the unattractive coworkers would work behind the scenes.
I got interested and I tried starting a conversation about how attractiveness can heavily impact your life (jobs/relationships/etc) and how there’s many psychological studies proving that pretty privilege and the halo effect is very real.
But every time I tried starting a sentence, everyone would ignore me and payed attention to the pretty coworkers instead…

How did this leave you feeling?
It feels really positive that you were aiming to open up about how you feel and to share your point of view. You deserve to be listened to. How do you feel more generally about your colleagues and your place of work?
Sending hugs,
I don’t have a great relationship with most of my coworkers. Some I get along with, but most have treated me differently due to my looks. I’m trying to find a new job, but I keep receiving rejections.
And incase you ask, I have spoken up about my issues to the managers. It’s just that based on my work environment, I doubt things will get better there. Hence, I’m trying to leave.
