Battling negativity

Things can be a bit of a battle between negativity and positivity. It's just from negative experiences, past hurtful comments, negative outcomes, being bored at home, feeling alone, comparing myself to people, having experiences where I thought I was moving ahead then ending up back to square one, my own negative thoughts, my worrying, experiences where I have worried about the worst-case scenario happening and then it's happened, low confidence, and having my efforts dismissed. I have to balance that with positive points like my determination to get into work, my efforts, the fact I have attended work-related stuff which shows my efforts, and self-improvements. It's a bit of a battle, and I let the negativity get to me a lot. Hurtful comments can stick with me long term, like for years; they can really affect me, and negative experiences I dwell on a lot too, so that doesn't help. It's just a bit of a battle because I can have nice comments on here, this is where a lot of positivity comes from so I appreciate it like I can have nice supportive comments on my posts or the Friday chat thread which is amazing and I enjoy a lot as well as find very helpful but then I can get some negativity back so it is a bit of battle.

@amy02 thanks for your reply, maybe when you get a minute do you mind maybe sharing what parts relate to you so much ? It's good to hear that I'm not alone and someone is a similar boat.
