Idea for an expert chat

Hi. I know that this sounds silly but I was wondering if we could have a general chat about makeup with Michelle, a general chat and support chat moderator. She showed us a photo of some makeup that she did for herself and found out that at the weekend she is a makeup designer for family and friends. I think that it will be a great idea even if nobody else thinks that.

    This is a tremendous idea of Kasa's! Many of us including I are not greatly skilled at applying makeup and would welcome any tips, especially this morning. I'm having a pale day. :/

    It looks amazing! =) And it reminded me of the highly stylized cover of a splendid paranormal gay novel called Forever Girl by Rebecca Hamilton.



    I love mascara, but it needs artful application for great impact. Especially when performing onstage and I want that certain look.

    Maybe an expert chat on body image, and why you don't ever need make up, and how confidence and personality is what makes you attractive too would be a great ides for an expert chat, and more within the mix's purview?

    Agree with the first paragraph, youtube tutorials everywhere which is what i watch but even then all i can put on is my mascara and foundation

    second para- i mean yeah having confidence is important. But make up in its self isnt nescaraly all about lacking confidence and can be self expression or a hobby in being creative with it.

    @Kasa2103 you can always make a thread about make up tips or something either way.

    The times I need some makeup when dining out somewhere nice and means dressing up for the occasion. Otherwise for stage/public performancies I need those extra tips. Otherwise I'd have to pay a makeup artist and remember to work the magic they taught me. Otherwise I'm fine for puttting on a little blusher for a pale day, but lousy doing the real deal.

    Therefore to learn great makeup would help my low esteem and confidence. Yeah, because offline I'm very shy, because the only way I portray self-expression is when painting in the privacy of my art room.

    I agree with @Aidan
    We could benefit with an expert chat on body image. That would be most helpful. :)

    Hey everyone,

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas about possible ideas for expert chats. We're always keen to hear ideas and organise experts chats that you'd be interested in. We've actually been in contact with Michelle because we heard a few of you would be interested in this type of expert chat. We hope it's something we can do soon :) 

    An expert chat on body image sounds great too. We've just launched our new Summer Unfiltered campaign so this would fit really well with that. We'll try and get some more expert chats organised soon.
