This article talks about the findings of a recent study on the benefits of gardening on mental wellbeing.
Do you think that being close with nature can help improve mental wellbeing?
What helps you to unwind and build your energy and self-awareness? Be it gardening, going for a scenic walk, or practicing yoga – it would be cool to hear your experiences or ideas

I'm not sure what it is that helps me, sometimes I think the thoughts processing through my brain at the same speed as I'm moving helps me to de-stress and to work through how it is that I'm feeling in that moment. Not sure if it's nature or a lack of people to get in my way!

However I do believe nature helps my mental wellbeing- I love going to parks alone. I like the feeling that its my space to explore. I look at all the scenery and listening to nature is very soothing for me.

@Past User I think the sun is definitely uplifting, and I understand what you mean by it helping to focus on your thoughts in the moment
@Past User I don't like bugs either! Love the idea of having nature as a space to explore.

I sometimes find if I have woken up in a bad mood, or had a stressful morning, then I walk to work, by the time I have got to work I am a lot more chilled.

I came across this video when researching the topic - the video itself is quite calming and soothing...

For me, nature is about slowing down, we live such hectic lives and nature just steadies along. Fresh air, exercise and a change of scenery always helps me to feel refreshed
I also find walking outside is good for thinking and clearing my mind

I wonder if the cold weather has been stopping anyone from going outside or had an impact on their mood?
